We believe in helping our clients and doing our part to support our communities. That is, we believe our stewardship responsibilities go beyond the stewardship of our clients’ financial assets.

We give back in big ways because we can and want to, and our desire to take care of other people is a big part of who we are. The below list summarizes some of the roles we have played in supporting people, animals, and nonprofits in our communities.

• For over a decade, we have made donations to nonprofits in honor of our clients during the holiday season. We have employed a process that includes our clients in the selection of the charities to which donations are made.
• We support our clients who are artists and writers by sharing their work with our other clients.
• We are proud and enthusiastic volunteers and financial supporters of numerous local and national nonprofits. We have supported Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Franklin County, the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, The Y of Greenfield, Snow Farm: The New England Craft Program, The National Park Foundation, The Community Kitchen, the Appalachian Mountain Club, The Adirondack Mountain Club, Stone Soup Café, and Safe Passage among many other nonprofits. A sign in our office lobby lists some of the many organizations we supported in the past year.
• Our annual goal is to increase our generosity: we aim to volunteer more hours and donate more dollars year over year.
