Throughout Bret’s career in excess of 30 years, he has established himself as a leader, communicator, strategic planner and connector, continually striving to help our team and clients pursue their highest potential. He has the ability to listen to a client and help them identify what they are truly passionate about in life – developing an actionable financial plan to pursue those dreams. Bret’s ability to develop enduring relationships is the greatest reward of the work he does. “The people I advise have become more than clients – they have become lifelong friends,” he says.
In addition to being a managing partner, Bret is a lead for new relationship acquisition, a key retirement planning and municipal portfolio specialist and primary team vision leader. Bret works extensively with physician specialists, business owners, high-net-worth individuals, affluent families and institutional clients. He began his financial services career with a boutique firm in downtown Chicago in 1988, and has been with the Raymond James organization for more than 28 years.
His professional designations include Wealth Management Specialist™, Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM and Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM. He is a FINRA General Securities Principal and earned his bachelor’s of business administration degree in finance and economics from the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University.
Personally, Bret is devoted to his five children and wife of over 31 years. Additionally, he has spent many hours as a volunteer youth sports coach over the years and is very committed to his church, where he has served in leadership capacities including board leadership, youth ministry for over 30 years, adoption ministry, safety team and missions team. His family has served on missions domestically and in India and Nicaragua. The entire family loves outdoor adventures, ranging from fly fishing, biking and hiking to snow skiing and snow shoeing.
