Troy Kimball is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and has been with The Compass Wealth Group since 2014. Before joining The Compass Wealth Group, Troy served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Troy provides comprehensive financial planning to individuals and families, finding solutions for clients in the areas of proper investment asset allocation; long-term care, life, and disability insurance needs; college education planning; and retirement cash flow planning. He also serves as the facilitator and primary researcher for the practice’s Investment Review Committee, which helps ensure that the team uses consistent, well-vetted investment funds, trusts, and other instruments to meet client needs.
Troy is originally from Pierce, Colorado. He holds a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from Naval War College, a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Sciences from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning.
Troy’s family includes his wife, Jennifer, their four children, Blake (and his fiancée Cassie), Ariana, Taylor, and Jayssa, and two grandchildren, Beau and Hadley. He enjoys cooking, barbequing/smoking, and spending time in the great outdoors with his family and dogs.
