Jason brings honesty, transparency and thoughtfulness to his approach to financial services. He wants clients to know that they are always top of mind, whether by acknowledging a birthday or major milestone, making sure to celebrate life’s joys with them. He is there for his clients through the most difficult conversations as well, serving as a trusted steward of their financial well-being and as a friend.

Prior to joining Raymond James, Jason was with Edward Jones for more than a decade. A graduate of Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, he is the holder of degrees in psychology, sociology and business. He decided to join Raymond James in order to truly serve his clients to the best of his ability, leveraging access to wealth products, technology and knowledge, all without any product pushing, sales quotas or corporate interference.

On a day-to-day basis, Jason conducts meetings, reaches out to clients, partners with branch professionals, continues education, reviews client accounts and strategizes. He specializes in asset allocation, wealth management assessment, tax strategy and estate planning. His goals for clients are for them to be prepared for all phases of their financial lives, like marriage, moving, new jobs and homeownership, as well as unexpected events such as divorce, loss of loved ones or property damage.

Outside the office, Jason is an active member of his local community, participating in the following positions: Mountain Middle School board member and finance committee (2018 – present); Escalante Middle School wrestling head/assistant coach (2021 – present); Durango High School wrestling assistant coach (2016 – present); Durango Wrestling Club coach and VP (2016 – present); Big Brothers Big Sisters board (2016 – 2019); Elks Lodge (2016 – present); Rotary (2015 – 2022).­

Jason’s hobbies include golfing, skiing, fishing, snowmobiling, running, hiking, and spending time with family. He coaches his son in wrestling and was a two-time Colorado State Champion wrestler himself.

Originally from Durango, Colorado, he returned there after college, where he still resides today with his wife, Lauren, his son, Cash, and their three dogs, Trigger, Lylah and Nova.
