Giving back in our community

We believe our communities deserve to share in our success – and that giving back means giving of ourselves. Above all, giving feels good. Here are some of the worthy organizations and charitable causes we have supported over the years.

Stephen Francis and his family have been supporting this organization for many years. It is a cause that is personal to them because they have a family member in stage 7 of the disease. Stephen offers this sage advice: “Watch this 40-minute video, How to Talk to Someone with Dementia. It is probably the best video you’re ever going to watch. We are all touched by it.”

This Wilmington nonprofit provides emergency food to local residents in need, including hundreds of families, veterans and homeless individuals.

Another Wilmington nonprofit, this organization distributes donated household goods, clothing and school supplies to local families in need.

This organization provides scholarships to students seeking higher education.

This organization has been building goodwill and better friendships since 1938. The current project of the club benefiting the community is building the first all-inclusive playground here in Wilmington.

Serving our community is a family tradition and part of the Oak Knoll legacy.
