The third quarter is officially in the books, and it was another bumpy ride for investors. After getting off to a strong start – the S&P 500 gained more than 13% in the first half of the quarter – US equities faltered.

Another news-driven, challenging quarter as the war in Ukraine continued to rage and the U.N. booted Russia off the Human Rights Commission amid talks of war crimes. Inflation was still lingering and increased in May despite many thinking that April would prove to be the peak.

Well, a lot has happened in the last three months! Does anyone even remember the Winter Olympics? We closed out 2021 near all-time highs for large-Cap U.S. stocks as measured by the S&P 500.
