Steve has been serving the financial needs of clients and their families for more than 16 years. He strives to develop long-term relationships with his clients with the objective of understanding their goals and providing viable strategies for every element of the wealth management equation.

As your financial advisor, Steve takes a comprehensive approach to addressing your financial needs. After getting to know you and fully understanding your investment objectives and your tolerance for risk, he works with you to develop a customized financial plan designed to pursue your long-term financial objectives. What distinguishes Steve the most is his ability to go beyond the numbers, to ensure your financial plan aligns with your life objectives. He will serve as your accountability partner, helping you move forward with confidence.

Steve’s planning-based approach also helps you mitigate tax liabilities, successfully address estate issues, get better control of discretionary expenses, and strive for your long-term financial objectives.

A fifth-generation Texan, Steve is originally from Pasadena, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1992 with a B.S. in agriculture economics. He also earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM  certification while attending the University of St. Thomas in Houston. Prior to joining Raymond James in 2021, Steve worked as a wealth advisor for UBS Financial Services for eight years, a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch for three years, and a financial planning specialist with Smith Barney for four years.

In addition to his financial experience, Steve became a master licensed plumber for the state of Texas while working for his family’s plumbing company, Modern Plumbing in Pasadena. It was a role that helped Steve learn the value of hard work, family support and the opportunity the trades offer so many. While in the plumbing business, Steve also served on the Texas PHCC Board and as a trustee on the Quality Service Contractors National Board. He currently serves on Oregon’s PHCC Board of Directors as well as the Community Living Above Board, which focuses on preventing addictive behaviors in young people.

Away from the office, Steve appreciates the opportunity to travel and stay active. He enjoys skiing, traveling in the RV, or simply having a cup of coffee with friends and family.
