I have been an investment advisor representative since 1980 when I began my career with Morgan Stanley (then known as Dean Witter Reynolds). In 1986 I completed my study to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. I have maintained my certification since then through continued study and application.

In 1989 I joined Morgan Keegan & Company, where I continued my practice until partnering with Terry Marti to start the independent practice, Financial Strategies Group, LLC, in July 2004.

I have worked diligently with individuals, families, corporations, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations to help achieve their investment goals. In recent years my involvement in the areas of retirement and estate planning have grown so that they now represent a substantial portion of my practice. Among my clients is a family with four generations looking to me for financial guidance.

In 1995 I retired from the U.S. Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving 10 years on active duty and 15 years as a reservist. I still have my uniform just in case my country needs me again.

I currently stay busy with my grandchildren and prison ministry work. In the past I have been honored to serve as Chairman of the Board for; the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs of Greater Huntsville, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, the Madison Chamber of Commerce, the Limestone KAIROS Advisory Council, and the Asbury Community Thrift Store.

In my effort to continue to provide the highest level of expertise and service to my uniquely successful clients in the areas of planning, asset and risk management, I have recently incorporated the “Four D” process into all my client interactions. I look forward to many more years of providing sound financial solutions to an ever growing/changing clientele in an ever challenging market place.
