Matt uses his experience and training to help business owners follow through on their goals, but his advice is grounded in that central understanding, that to his clients, their business is more than a business. That distinction matters: Success and legacy is about more than a bottom line. He cares deeply for his clients, considering them like family, so regardless of their objectives, he wants them to be able to pursue financial well-being with confidence.

Business owners have unique financial considerations, so Matt has achieved the Certified Exit Planning Advisor designation to supplement his experience in wealth management and investing. Just as no two lives are alike, neither are any two businesses, nor any two financial plans. So Matt uses a rigorous, multistep process to help his clients understand their position, their opportunities and a route to their goals.

In his practice, Matt primarily works with business owners, high-net-worth individuals and their families. He has guided his clients through business succession planning, holistic wealth management, sophisticated investing strategies and cash management and lending. Each financial plan and investment strategy he creates is tailored to each clients’ individual needs.

Matt has also earned the prestigious Certified Financial Planner^™ certification, a coveted professional certification that reflects a deep commitment to the principles of financial planning. To qualify, one must complete rigorous educational programming and examination, maintain a high degree of integrity and commit to continuing education.

Prior to joining the Fulcrum Wealth Consulting team in 2017, Matt’s practice was affiliated with Morgan Stanley from 2003. He is a graduate of Connecticut College with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Matt believes in the importance of civic engagement and using his success to build up others. He is proud to serve as the vice president of El Pomar Colorado Springs Youth Sports.

He is a resident of Colorado Springs with his wife, Kerri, and four children. Outside of work, he is an avid fly fisherman and golfer when he isn’t cherishing the time he spends with his family.
