Dr. Jenny Gyurova Hite,
DBA, CFP®, CWS First Vice President, Wealth Management Financial AdvisorIn helping her clients pursue their goals and lasting financial well-being, Jenny believes it’s best to start with a plan. Before recommending any investment, Jenny takes the time to understand her clients’ goals, concerns and special circumstances – and she believes it’s always worthwhile to look deeper. She sees investing as an important tool of the wealth management process whose ultimate objective is her clients’ goals, but that a portfolio is not an end unto itself.
Within the practice’s collaborative, team-based approach to serving its clients, Jenny brings a sophisticated financial planning perspective to discussion sessions.
Jenny works primarily with high-net-worth individuals and families whose mix of assets, income and obligations tend to be more complex than many investors’. As such, she is careful about the details and clear about her advice. By communicating in a direct, concise manner, she helps avoid confusion. She seeks to have her clients fully understand not just what she recommends, but why, and to understand what options are available to them.
Jenny earned a Doctorate in Business Administration in finance from Sacred Heart University. She also holds a master’s degree in the management of technology from the University of Alabama, an executive degree in financial planning from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Jacksonville State University. She began her post-secondary education at the American University in Bulgaria, her home country, before becoming a first-generation immigrant and transferring to Jacksonville State University.
In addition to her extensive educational background, Jenny has also pursued specialized professional training. She is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, having completed the rigorous financial planning program. She has also earned the Certified Wealth Strategist® designation after completing a program focused on the wealth planning needs of highly affluent people and families.
Jenny is an experienced financial advisor, starting her practice in 2001. Prior to joining Raymond James, she was with Regions Wealth Management.
Outside the office, Jenny supports a number of nonprofit and civic organizations. She is on the board of Global Ties Alabama, a group that promotes international exchanges and citizen diplomacy. She also serves on the board of the Financial and Estate Planning Council for Huntsville. In her free time, she enjoys reading, and runs her own monthly book club. She also enjoys travel and small weekend getaways to historically significant places, pickleball and ping pong, hiking, and recently, strength training.
Originally from Razgrad, Bulgaria, Jenny now lives in Huntsville. She and her husband, Brian, have one child.
