Phillips, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, made his career in finance for the opportunity to work directly with people and help them solve practical problems. He enjoys this combination of the analytical and the personal, and while he serves a wide range of clients, he has carved a particular niche in working with engineers.

Prior to joining the Madison Street Wealth Advisors of Raymond James team in 2022, Phillips was a vice president with Green Mountain Research, Inc. He holds an Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ designation reflecting his completion of professional training focused on asset management, investing and related issues like taxes, estate planning and risk management.

Outside the office, Phillips enjoys spending time with his family – his wife, Lauren, and their two children – reading, water skiing, fishing and trap shooting. He is originally from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, but has lived in Huntsville for most of his life.
