For Luis, any conversation about preserving and creating wealth is necessarily a conversation about risk, process and intellectual rigor. We can’t control the market, but with discipline, we can control how we use it to serve our goals.

This commitment to investment diligence has made Luis an integral part of the collaborative Madison Street Advisors of Raymond James team, playing a significant role in maintaining, researching and updating the practice’s investment models. In line with his risk-focused approach, Luis favors direct, matter-of-fact communication when working with both colleagues and clients, believing it’s best to avoid confusion when talking about concerns as essential as one’s personal financial well-being.

Luis primarily works directly with clients who have complex assets – business owners – and high-income employees like senior executives.

Luis has worked in the financial securities field since 1995 and joined the Raymond James team in 2002. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. Luis has also completed training from the Raymond James Institute of Investment Management Consulting, an invite-only program about creating and managing an investment program with institutional approach.

In his off hours, Luis enjoys anything and everything about the outdoors, grilling and traveling. He is a native Floridian, but now lives in Huntsville with his wife Laurie. The couple have one son.
