John Palmer

John Palmer joined Raymond James in 2024 as a vice president in Investment Banking. Prior to Raymond James, Mr. Palmer worked as a vice president in Guggenheim’s Industrials Investment Banking group and as an associate in J.P. Morgan’s Diversified Industrials Investment Banking group, where he advised companies on mergers & acquisitions, capital market transactions and shareholder activism defenses. Mr. Palmer also served as a captain in the United States Army for eight years and three combat deployments, and his awards and decorations include three Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart and the Ranger Tab. He holds an undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
