Raymond James recently hosted the Next Generation Tech (NGT) competition at our headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida. The competition encourages students from Pinellas County to form teams to develop a mobile application that addresses a social issue or problem statement.
The event kicked off with Andy Zolper, chief information security officer, speaking to the students. Robyn Mussler, the head of the competition, also spoke about the profound technological accomplishments of each student for making it this far. Students gave their mock presentations to our judges to prepare for their final presentation next month.
They were then treated to a technical debrief and review of the Cyber Threat Center and Technical Command Center within Raymond James, revealing a realistic view of how corporate applications are supported from an operational and security perspective.
Best of luck to all the teams during their final presentations next month!
