John joined Raymond James in 2002 via the firm’s acquisition of Legg Mason’s bank brokerage business, where he served for eight years as president of the broker/dealer, LM Financial Partners. Prior to joining Legg Mason in 1994, he worked as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch and First Tennessee Bank. From 2002 to 2005, John served as the national sales manager for the Raymond James Financial Institutions Division. From 2006 to 2017, John served as managing director of the Financial Institutions Division before moving back to his hometown of Nashville to become the Eastern division director. In this current role, he is responsible for the relationship management activities of the division’s clients in the Eastern half of the country. A 31-year veteran of the securities industry, he holds Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, and has completed the SIA Securities Institute at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. John graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi with a B.A. in history. He currently resides in Franklin, Tennessee, with his wife and their two children.
