J.R. Weston

J.R. Weston started at Raymond James in 2014 as a research associate on the energy equity research team. He became an associate analyst in 2018 and an analyst in 2025, focusing on natural gas and natural gas liquids-focused midstream/MLP equities. Before his promotion to associate analyst, J.R. also served as the team lead for Houston-based research associates for two years. He graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Stetson University, and in 2014 he earned a Master’s degree in Accountancy from Stetson University. He became a CFA charterholder in 2018.
