Raymond James welcomes Utah financial advisor managing nearly $185 million in assets

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisor Jason Hancock to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – according to Casey McGee, Western assistant division director for RJFS.

Hancock joins the established team at Voyager Wealth Advisors in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together the practice provides financial services and guidance to help clients navigate significant life events such as equity awards, career shifts, inheritance, business sales, property transitions, divorce or loss of a loved one. Previously, Hancock was affiliated with Morgan Stanley where he managed nearly $185 million in client assets.

“The unparalleled culture at Raymond James is in natural alignment with how I have always run my practice – by prioritizing clients and their financial wellbeing above all else. Additionally, the freedom to take ownership of my business will enable me to ensure clients are receiving the excellent service they deserve for the long-term,” said Hancock.

As a wealth management advisor at the practice, Hancock offers over a decade of financial services experience. Through prior roles at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, he developed a deep understanding of equity compensation and tax strategies to help clients maximize wealth accumulated through stock awards and concentrated positions, while implementing tax-efficient strategies to preserve their financial future. Hancock earned a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in accounting and is currently pursuing an MBA with a focus on financial planning.
