Clay Hickman

Managing Director

Clay Hickman is a managing director in the Fixed Income Capital Markets division of Raymond James. He specializes in serving banks, thrifts, credit unions and financial institutions of all sizes on loan portfolio management and balance sheet strategies. His primary responsibilities include loan portfolio analysis and pricing, developing capital markets strategies and executing trades in first and second lien residential mortgage, consumer, commercial, fintech and specialty finance loan portfolios.

Before accepting his current role, Clay spent a year and a half as a loan trader in the Whole Loan Group. Prior to joining the Whole Loan Group in 2006, Clay spent two years with Morgan Keegan's private client group as a senior portfolio analyst focusing on asset allocation, portfolio deconstruction and due diligence on mutual funds, hedge funds and separate account managers.

Clay holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in management information systems as well as a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master of Science in Business Administration degree with a focus in finance and economics, all from Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi. In addition, Clay holds his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
