Geoff Tobin is a managing director with the Technology & Services investment banking group of Raymond James, jointly responsible for managing the firm’s Infrastructure Technology practice. Mr. Tobin joined Raymond James in 2011. He has over 20 years of technology investment banking experience, during which time he has completed more than 110 transactions with an aggregate deal value exceeding $60 billion. Mr. Tobin’s transaction experience includes a wide array of sell-side and buy-side M&A assignments, private equity placements and public equity and convertible debt offerings, serving both venture-backed, sponsor-owned and publicly-held clients. Mr. Tobin has a diverse technology background spanning software, systems and components, with a current focus on key themes driving innovation and investment across Infrastructure Technology, including artificial intelligence, data science, automation, software-defined networks and data centers, edge IT infrastructure, unified communication and team collaboration, 5G, Internet of Things, smart home and automotive technologies. Prior to joining Raymond James, Mr. Tobin was a managing director with the technology investment banking group of Piper Jaffray, responsible for the firm’s investment banking activities in the communications equipment and enterprise systems sectors.  Previously, he served in the technology investment banking group of Thomas Weisel Partners, and began his career with the technology M&A group of Montgomery Securities. Mr. Tobin received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Colgate University.
